It cares about three things

Everything else, it tries not to do.

  • On your device

No sign-up, no login. Your diary lives on your own device, backed up automatically every day with the latest seven kept. iCloud sync is optional, and you can turn it off anytime.

  • Speak, and it's written

Tap “Speak” and your words become text. On supported devices and languages, transcription runs on-device, even offline. The microphone never turns on by itself.

  • Only writing

No notifications, no feed, no social, no AI writing for you. Just paper, words and white space — five paper styles and handwriting fonts.

Why I made Rizha

While tidying up my computer, I found years of diaries scattered across Markdown files, Day One and other note apps, each in its own shape.

I gathered them in one place, but there was nowhere comfortable to read them. And I didn’t want to hand them to another cloud service.

So I made Rizha, for myself.

There is so much noise outside that the voice inside goes quiet. I wanted a calm place to write it down — when I’m alone, and offline.

— Jeffrey, maker of Rizha

What it won't do

  • No notificationsIt won’t call you when you’re not using it.
  • No feed, no socialNo likes, no followers, no one else’s days.
  • No AI writing for youEvery word is your own.
  • No account requiredOpen it and write.
  • No ads, no third-party analyticsYour diary is not data.

Before adding anything, one question:
does it pull attention outward?
If it does, it isn’t built.

Write to yourself.
